Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) is a technology for automated deployment and configuration of network devices. AmpCon™-DC provides ZTP , which makes network deployment simpler. to provision new switches. The automatic provisioning process includes the following operations:
Obtaining a PicOS® image from the AmpCon™-DC server
Installing PicOS®
Configuring the switch based on system configurations and site configurations
Installing a valid license in the switch
After you plug in the switch, DHCP automatically provides the switch with an IP address and the address of a provision script that is obtained from AmpCon-DC server. The switch automatically runs the script to find the AmpCon-DC server, register with it, and then complete the PicOS® installation and configuration without manual intervention.
