Before you deploy switches, configure each switch model that you want to manage with AmpCon™AmpCon-DC. If not, the default port number ranges and PicOS® built-in PicOS images are used to deploy switches with these switch models.

Configuring a Switch Model

In the AmpCon-DC UI, click Service > Switch Model.
Optional: Update Refresh the supported switch model list:
Click Update Switch Model.
Click Yes to confirm the update.

In the Switch Model drop-down list, select the switch model that you want to configure.

Configure the port number range for each speed.

In the Deployed ONIE Image drop-down list, select the PicOS image that you want to install for this switch model.
Note: If the PicOS image that you want to install is not in the Deployed ONIE Image list, you need to listed here, upload the image as described in the Uploading and pushing imagestopic.

PicOS image and its MD5 file to AmpCon-DC. For more information, see Uploading Images.

Click Save.
Optional: Resetting a Switch Model
To reset a switch model, follow these steps:Note:
In the AmpCon-DC UI, click Service > Switch Model.
Click Reset.
Click Save.
After you reset the a switch model, the port number range for each speed is set to zero, and the image for this switch model PicOS image in the Deployed ONIE Image drop-down list is reset to the default version.
