After switches are successfully deployed or imported with AmpCon™AmpCon-DC, you can push configurations to these switches by using the Push Config functionas needed.

Ensure that you have created the configuration templates that you want to push to each switch. For more information, see Adding Configuring Configuration Templates.

Procedure

To push configurations to one or multiple switches, follow these steps:

  1. In the AmpCon™AmpCon-DC UI, click Service > Configuration Config Template.

  2. In the Push Config tab, select a folder, and then click Add Node. A node represents a configuration file.

  3. Enter the node name and its description (optional).

  4. Click OK to save the node.

  5. Click the node that you just created, and click Edit.

  1. to push to switches by using either of the following ways:

  • Enter the configurations that you want to push to switches manually.

  • Using the configuration templates that you created before:
    a. Click Generate Config.

c. Click Next, and enter the value for each variable.

d. Click Save.

  1. Click Push Config, and then select the switches to apply these configurations.

You can select specific switches one by one by using in the Config Switch tab or select all switches in a group by using in the Config Group tab. For how to add a group or manage switches in a group, see Managing Groups.

  1. Click OK to start the configuration pushing.

Optional: Verifying the Pushing Status and Log

  1. In the AmpCon-DC UI, click Service > Configuration Config Template.

  2. In the Push Config tab, click Push Config Logs.

  3. Click Task List, check whether the pushing status is success.

  4. If the pushing status is not success, click Push Log to check logs more pushing details for troubleshooting.
