The set protocols bgp redistribute metriccommand specifies route metric of the imported routes into BGP.
The delete protocols redistribute metric command specifies no metric when doing redistribution into BGP process.


Command Syntax

set protocols bgp [vrf <vrf-name>[ipv4 unicast] redistribute {connected|kernel|ospf|static|table|table <table-number>metric <metric-number>

delete protocols bgp [vrf <vrf-name>[ipv4 unicast] redistribute {connected|kernel|ospf|static|table|table <table-number>} metric <metric-number>

vrf <vrf-name>

Optional. Specifies a VRF name. The value is a string. It’s a user-defined VRF set by the command set ip vrf <vrf-name> [description <string>].

redistribute {connected|kernel|ospf|static|table|table <table-number>}

Redistributes routes to import into BGP.

  • connected: Redistribute connected route to BGP process.
  • kernel: Redistribute kernel route to BGP process.
  • ospf: Redistribute OSPF route to BGP process.
  • static: Redistribute static route to BGP process.
  • table: Redistribute route table to BGP process.
  • table <table-number>: Redistribute specific route table to BGP process. The value is an integer that ranges from 1 to 65535.
 metric <metric-number>Specifies route metric of the imported routes into BGP. The value is an integer that ranges from 0 to 4294967295.


Example
• This example redistributes OSPF route to BGP process, and the route metric is set to 20.

admin@XorPlus# set protocols bgp redistribute ospf metric 20
admin@XorPlus# commit
