By using AmpCon™-DC, you can configure switches more easily.

Pushing Configurations

  • If you haven’t added the switch configurations, add switch configurations with the configurations that you want to push to switches. For more information, see Adding Switch Configurations.

  • If switch configurations have been added, you can push configurations to switches by using the Push Config function. For more information, see Pushing Configurations to Switches.

Note: Ensure that you have created global configuration files and configuration template files with configurations that you want to push to each switch. For more information, see Adding Global Configurations and Adding Configuration Templates.

Managing Configurations

You can manage the configurations that you created such as deleting or viewing a configuration. For more information, see Managing Configurations.

Backing up and Restoring Configurations

You can manually back up configurations for a single switch or for a group of switches or back up configurations automatically at a specific interval. In addition, you can restore configurations based on a backup file. For more information, see Backing up and Restoring Configurations.

Comparing Configuration Snapshots

You can compare running configurations or historical configuration snapshots on one switch or on different switches. For more information, see Comparing Configuration Snapshots.

Verifying Templates

You can check the differences between a configuration template and running configurations on a switch. For more information, see Verifying Templates.
