When you import a switch or add a switch configuration, you can select which fabric the switch belongs to. The default fabric is selected by default.
Topology can be created based on fabrics to display the linking among switches in a fabric. You can create a fabric and add switches to the fabric. Then, you can view the topology associated with switches in this fabric.
Adding or a Fabric
In the AmpCon™-DC UI, click Resource > Authority Management > Group Management.
On the “Fabric Management” page, click Create.
Enter the fabric name and the fabric description (optional).
Click OK.
Deleting a Fabric
In the AmpCon-DC UI, click Resource > Authority Management > Group Management.
On the “Fabric Management” page, click Delete.
Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Adding Switches to a Fabric
In the AmpCon-DC UI, click Resource > Authority Management > Group Management.
Select the fabric.
Click Edit Fabric.
Select the switches to add. You can filter switches by entering switch keywords in the search box.
Click Save.
Removing Switches from a Fabric
In the AmpCon-DC UI, click Resource > Authority Management > Group Management.
Select the fabric.
Click Edit Fabric.
Unselect the switches to remove. You can filter switches by entering switch keywords in the search box.
Click Save.
Searching for Switches in a Fabric
In the AmpCon-DC UI, click Resource > Authority Management > Group Management.
Select the fabric.
Eenter the user information in the search box of the User View tab.
Displaying the Topology Associated with a Fabric
Prerequisites: Ensure that you have created the fabric and added switches to the fabric before.
In the AmpCon-DC UI, click Topo > Topology.
Click the corresponding fabric name to view the topology of switches that belong to this fabric.
