You can install the AmpCon-DC server by importing the .ova image file to a virtual machine management platform like VirtualBox.

VirtualBox is used in the following installation steps. The steps are similar for other virtual machine management platforms that support importing .ova files.

Prerequisites

Before you install the AmpCon-DC server, ensure that the following prerequisites are met:

Go to the FS AmpCon-DC website. In the Resources section, click AmpCon™-DC for GNS3 2.1.0 Software.

Installation procedure

  1. Copy the AmpCon-DC .ova image file to the local machine.

2. Open VirtualBox, and Click File > Import Appliance.

  1. Select Local file system, and select the OVA file that you want to import.

  1. Confirm the import settings for the AmpCon-DC .ova file, and then click Finish.

Wait for the progress bar to complete.

  1. Verify the configuration of the imported virtual machine.

  1. Select the switch, click "Start", and wait for the virtual machine to finish booting.

  1. Modify Configuration Settings
    Modify the network card information for the current environment

  2. Execute “cd /usr/share/automation/server && sudo ./start.sh” on the virtual machine to start the AmpCon.-DC service

Now the AmpCon-DC server is installed and started.

What to Do Next

After you install the AmpCon-DC server, you need to import the AmpCon-DC License, and add system configurations.
