Comparing Running Configurations with Initial Configurations

You can check the differences between a configuration template and running configurations on a switch.

Notes:

• AmpCon™-DC doesn’t support comparing a configuration template on a switch with running configurations on other switches.

• The Template Verify feature works only for connected switches.

Procedure

1. In the AmpCon-DC UI, click Service > Config Template.

2. In the SN field, click Select.

3. In the pop-up window, select a switch to compare.

4. In the Template field, click Select.

5. In the pop-up window, select the global configuration and the configuration template to compare, and then click Generate.

6. In the SN drop-down list, select Running Config(set format) or Running Config(all set format).

Note: Running Config is available only for connected switches. It cannot be retrieved from disconnected switches.

Then, you can see the differences between the configuration template and runing configurations on the switch.
