Configuring Switch Models

Before you deploy switches, configure each switch model that you want to manage with AmpCon™-DC. If not, the default port number ranges and PicOS® images are used to deploy switches with these switch models.

Prerequisites

If the image to use is not listed in the Deployed ONIE Image drop-down list, you need to upload the image first as described in the Uploading and pushing images topic.

Configuring a Switch Model

To configure a switch model, follow these steps:

1. In the AmpCon-DC UI, click Service > Switch Model.

2. Optional: Update the supported switch model list:

   1. Click Update Switch Model.

   2. Click Yes to confirm the update.

3. In the Switch Model drop-down list, select the switch model that you want to configure.

4. Configure the port number range for each speed.

5. In the Deployed ONIE Image drop-down list, select the PicOS® image that you want to install for this switch model.

6. Click Save.

Optional: Resetting a Switch Model

To reset a switch model, follow these steps:

Note: After you reset the switch model, the port number range for each speed is set to zero, and the image for this switch model is reset to the default version.

1. In the AmpCon-DC UI, click Service > Switch Model.

2. Click Reset.
