Verifying Templates

You can check the differences between a configuration template and the running configurations on a switch.

Notes:

• AmpCon™-DC doesn’t support verifying a configuration template on a switch with running configurations on other switches.

• This feature works only for connected switches.

Procedure

To verify a configuration template with running configurations on a switch, follow these steps:

1. In the AmpCon-DC UI, click Service > Config Template.

2. In the SN field, click Select to choose the switch.

3. In the pop-up window, select a switch to compare.

4. In the Template field, click Select to select the template to compare.

5. In the pop-up window, select a global configuration and a configuration template, and then click Generate.

6. In the SN drop-down list, select Running Config(set format) or Running Config(all set format).

Note: Running Config is available only for connected switches. It cannot be retrieved from disconnected switches.

Then, you can see the differences between the configuration template and the runing configurations on the switch.
