Run the command set protocols bgp evpn neighbor activate to activate the BGP peer or peer group within the EVPN address family to enable EVPN route exchange with the BGP peer.

Optional parameter vrf can be used to identify a VRF, if not defined, the command takes effect on the default VRF. 

To delete this configuration, run the command delete protocols bgp evpn neighbor activate.


Command Syntax

set protocols bgp [vrf <text>] evpn neighbor <bgp-peer> activate

delete protocols bgp [vrf <text>] evpn neighbor <bgp-peer> activate

vrf <vrf-name>

Specifies the name of the VRF.

neighbor <bgp-peer>

Specifies the BGP neighbor IPv4 or IPv6 address.


Example

  • Configure the device to enable EVPN BGP route exchange with peer 3.3.3.3 in VRF BLUE.
admin@Xorplus# set protocols bgp vrf BLUE evpn neighbor 3.3.3.3 activate
admin@Xorplus# commit
