Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) is a technology for automated deployment and configuration of network devices. When large numbers of switches need to be deployed or upgraded, you can use ZTP to reduce labor costs and improve deployment efficiency. ZTP helps you to implement fast, accurate and reliable device deployment.

AmpCon™-Campus provides ZTP, which makes network deployment simpler. After you plug in the switch, DHCP automatically provides the switch with an IP address and the address of a provision script that is obtained from AmpCon-Campus server. The switch runs the script to find the AmpCon-Campus server, register with it, and then complete the PicOS® installation without manual intervention.

By using AmpCon-Campus, no experienced network personnel are required at the remote site; anyone who can put the switch in the right place and plug it in will do.
