To install

Prerequisites

  • Before you install the AmpCon-DC server, ensure that the following prerequisites are met:

  • The installation requirements are met.

  • The AmpCon-DC server installation package is downloaded.

Go to the FS AmpCon-DC website. In the Resources section, click the installation package that you want to install.

- AmpCon™-DC for VMWare ESXi 2.1.0 Software

Used to install the AmpCon-DC server in VMWare ESXi

- AmpCon™-DC for VirtualBox 2.1.0 Software

Used to install the AmpCon-DC server in VirtualBox

- AmpCon™-DC for Ubuntu Docker 2.1.0 Software

Used to install the AmpCon-DC server in a physical machine based on Ubuntu 22.04 with Docker

- AmpCon™-DC for GNS3 2.1.0 Software

Used to install the AmpCon-DC server in GNS3

Installing in VirtManager

  1. Download the AmpCon-DC QCOW2 image as described in the Prerequisite section.

  1. Run the following command to open the Virtual Manager interface:

virt-manager

  1. Click the button as follows to import the virtual machine.

  1. Select "import existing disk image" and click "Forward".

  1. Click "Browse" to select the local image file.

  1. Click "Browse Local" to add a local location

  1. Find the actual qcow2 mirror location and click "Open"
    Click "Forward"

  1. Click "Forward"

  1. Adjust the virtual machine configuration as needed and click "Forward"

Wait for the creation to complete, automatically enter the virtual machine serial command line, the import is complete

  1. Modify configuration settings

Enter username and password: pica8/pica8

Enter the command “sudo vi /etc/netplan/00-installer-config.yaml” to modify the IP address

Enter the command “sudo netplan apply” to apply the network interface configuration

  1. Start AmpCon™-DC
    Enter the command “cd /usr/share/automation/server && sudo ./start.sh” to start the AmpCon™-DC service.

  1. Page Authentication
    Enter the IP address of AmpCon™-DC in the browser
