RFC	Description
RFC 1058	Routing Information Protocol. This document describes RIP protocol, describes the elements, characteristic, limitation of RIP version 1.
RFC 2453	RIP Version 2. This document specifies an extension of the Routing Information Protocol (RIP), to expand the amount of useful information carried in RIP messages and to add a measure of security.
RFC 2080	RIPng for IPv6. This document specifies a routing protocol for an IPv6 internet. It is based on protocols and algorithms currently in wide use in the IPv4 Internet.
