set protocols bgp fast-external-failover

The set protocols bgp fast-external-failover command can be used to set the switch to reset the BGP sessions of any directly adjacent external peers if the link used to reach them goes down.
The delete protocols bgp fast-external-failover command turns off this ability.

Command Syntax

set protocol bgp [vrf <vrf-name>] fast-external-failover

delete protocols bgp [vrf <vrf-name>] fast-external-failover

Parameter

Parameter	Description
vrf <vrf-name>	Optional. Specifies a VRF name. The value is a string. It’s a user-defined VRF set by the command set ip vrf <vrf-name> [description <string>].

Example
• This example sets the switch to reset the BGP sessions of any directly adjacent external peers if the link used to reach them goes down.
