set protocols spanning-tree pvst vlan enable


The set protocols spanning-tree pvst vlan enable command is used to enable or disable Rapid-PVST+ VLAN instance.


Command Syntax

set protocols spanning-tree pvst vlan <vlan-id> enable <true | false>


Parameter

vlan <vlan-id>

Specifies the VLAN ID. The value is an integer that ranges from 1 to 4094.

enable <true | false>

Enables or disables Rapid-PVST+ VLAN instance. The value could be true or false.

  •   true: enables Rapid-PVST+ VLAN instance.
  •   false: disables Rapid-PVST+ VLAN instance.

By default, Rapid-PVST+ is disabled.


Usage Guidelines

To enable the Rapid-PVST+ protocol, in addition to setting the spanning tree protocol to 4 by using the set protocols spanning-tree force-version 4 command, Rapid-PVST+ must be enabled on the VLAN.


Example

  • Enable Rapid-PVST+ in VLAN 5.
admin@Xorplus# set protocols spanning-tree pvst vlan 5 bridge-priority 55
admin@Xorplus# commit
