Map View

It is convenient to use the map as the entrance to quickly find the location of the switch, and to facilitate the management of physical switches.

The viewing method is as follows:

Select Lifecycle > Map View to enter the map view mode to view device location, as shown in the figure below.

To use the map view function, you need to configure the switch as follows in advance:

Step 1        Configure the device location information.

   Only those devices for which the device location information is already configured will show up on the map.

   The device location information configuration method is as follows:

   Select Deployment > Switch Configuration, fill in location information in the Deployment Location parameter box.

Step 2          (Optional) Configure the web proxy.

   If AmpCon server can access the Internet, this step is not required. However, if the AmpCon server is on a LAN, you need to configure a web proxy to connect to the Internet for map query, see the link AmpCon Installation Guide for details about how to configure the Web Proxy.
