Comparing PICOS Configuration Files

AmpCon allows you to compare two PICOS configuration file snapshots of a specific switch. Configuration is automatically backed up in the database after a switch is successfully deployed by AmpCon.  You can compare the deployed switch config against the running config of the switch as follows.

Select the Config/Templates > Config Snapshot Diff menu, click Select in the left-hand window, and select the switch for comparing configurations as shown below. 

From the drop down menu select the oldest configuration timestamp as shown above. 

Similarly in the right-hand window, select the same switch only select the newest configuration timestamp. You will then see output similar to the one shown below. 

 Above example shows SNMP v3 related commands are present in the newer config and missing in the older config.
