PICOS Switches Lifecycle Management Using AmpCon
For the switch that has been deployed on the AmpCon, you can perform a series of management operations by using AmpCon lifecycle management, including system upgrade, license management, configuration file comparison, switch configuration backup, replacing faulty devices, map review etc. For a switch that is not deployed, you can also import it by using the import switch process.
AmpCon implements unified management and control for the deployed switches, simplifying network configuration and realizing remote deployment and centralized management of devices. Thus improving the efficiency of equipment deployment, daily maintenance and troubleshooting, and reduces labor costs.
An already deloyed switch will be displayed in "Switch List" (Lifecycle > Deployed Switch List), users can find switch informations, such as Switch Name, Switch SN number, IP address, Link IP address (switch IP address connected to AmpCon server), etc.
The main content of this chapter includes:
- License Management
It mainly introduce how to perform license audit, and update the license that is about to expire.
- Map View
It mainly introduces how to use the map as the entrance to quickly find the device location and to manage the device.
- Importing a Switch
It mainly introduces how to manually import a switch.
- Comparing PICOS Configuration Files
It mainly introduces how to compare the saved config against the running config of the deployed switch.
- Automatic Backup and Manual Snapshot of Switch Configuration
It mainly introduces how to automatically backup the configuration of all deployed switches at a specific interval.
- Removing a Deployed Switch from AmpCon
It mainly introduces how to remove a deployed PICOS switch from AmpCon.
- Scheduling Automated Upgrades
Mainly introduces how to schedule automated upgrades for a single switch or a group of PICOS switches.
- Replacing Faulty Devices
Mainly introduces how to configure the corresponding relationship between the new Switch and the faulty Switch, and complete the information acquisition and loading configuration on to the new switch.
